Grady Savage as Carol Henderson
Q – Before you started working on this production, what was your perspective on the role of women during WWII?
Prior to this production, I had very little knowledge of women’s role during WWII,to be honest.
Q – What kind of job do you think you would have had during WWII?
Well, like Carol, I do wear glasses, but unlike Carol I don’t think I’d be brave enough to fly without them, so I feel like I would’ve “done my part” in some kind of factory job at home.
Q – What or who do you draw on for inspiration for your role?
Just in researching the incredible women who were a part of the WASP program I’ve found a ton of inspiration for my role.
Q – What woman in your life influences you the most and why?
My mother has always had and continues to have an extremely profound influence on my life. I always strive to be as kind, thoughtful, and selfless as she is. Also, I have an incredible group of women in my life who I am proud to call friends. They are constantly encouraging me, challenging me, and sharing their art and kindness with the world in beautiful ways.
Q – What do you hope our audience gains from seeing Decision Height?
I hope our audience gains insight on this previously disregarded program. I hope our audience sees the bravery, strength, and endurance of these characters and, therefore, the real Women’s Airforce Service Pilots of our history.
Decision Height will be at the Players’ Ring May 6 – 22, get your tickets now!
