Psychiatrist Dr. Martin Dysart, is confronted with a boy named Alan Strang who has blinded six horses in a violent fit of passion. This very passion is as foreign to Dysart as the act itself. To the boy’s parents, it is a hideous mystery; Alan has always adored horses. To Dysart it is a psychological puzzle that leads both doctor and patient into a complex and disturbingly dramatic confrontation.

*Equus is for mature audiences only*

Back Alley Productions has been creating thought provoking, quality, theater for the New Hampshire Seacoast since 2008, when they first collaborated with Rolling Die Productions to bring Equus to the stage. Now, 10 years later, its founders, Joi Smith and Danica Carlson, continue to share a passion for highlighting the amazing talents in the community and bringing to life the beautiful stories of the human experience for their audiences to enjoy.
