Q – How long have you been involved in theater?

I have been acting since I could walk, much to the embarrassment of my folks because I used to climb onto the tops of tables and sing “You Light up my Life” by Ann Murray.

Q – What are some of your favorite productions?

No Exit, and any DARWiNS WAiTiNG ROOM show I am in, The Odd Couple, Background Check, Macbeth, Any One of Us: Words from Prison, and Elephant Hunt, all of which were at the Players’ Ring. And I will also be in the following upcoming productions at the Ring: Rush, Death and the Maiden and Hemingway’s Wife.

Q – Have you performed in the Vagina Monologues before?

Yes, I have.

Q – What made you want to be involved in V-Day this year?

This is the last time Back Alley will be involved, and if Joi and Danica are going out, then I’m going with them. This topic is very near and dear to my heart, and I can not imagine my life without it.

Q – Who is the most influential woman in your life?

Without a doubt, my Mom. She is the strongest, most intelligent, beautiful, independent, strong, and courageous woman I have ever known. And as a survivor herself, she has shown me what it means to not be defined by your experiences, but how to to let them shape you into being an actual strong, smart and independent woman.

Q – What or who inspires you?

My mother inspires me every day. My angel in heaven, aunt Terri. My dad, Lindsey Boyd-Robertson. My best friend, Constance Witman, my other angel in Heaven Tammy Belanger, and Joi Smith and Danica Carlson for letting me be a part of this incredible movement, which allows me to heal. I love these two ladies, and I don’t know what I’ll do now that Back Alley Productions will no longer be producing this show every year. G. Matthew Gaskell also inspires me on a daily basis. And whether he sees this or believes it, my brother, Josh.

Q – How long have you been involved in theater?

That’s hard to answer. I’ve been performing in front of people since 1999… but I started with campfire skits, storytelling and weird plays after lunch to encourage kids to compost at science camp.

Q – What are some of your favorite recent productions?

I Could Just Diary 2 & 3 at Seacoast Rep were ridiculously fun and such a great way to step out of my comfort zone. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time!!

Q – Have you performed in the Vagina Monologues before?

Yes! I was in the sextet last year and am excited to reprise my role and get to know a new fabulous 5.

Q – What made you want to be involved in V-Day this year?

As an educator for SASS I get the opportunity to go into schools on a daily basis and talk to kids and teenagers about some very important topics. I am always excited for opportunities to reach a new audience and spread the SASS love a little further.

Q – Who is the most influential woman in your life?

My mom – hands down.

Q – What or who inspires you?

Silliness, time with friends and my crazy family, bad puns, vintage clothing and the thrill of the hunt, laughter, puppets, puppets and more puppets.

…Speaking of Puppets, here’s what Zoe had to say:

Q – How long have you been involved in theater?

Well – we don’t have a large stage or pretty red curtains…but I still think that I do theater every day! I have been in shows at elementary schools teaching kids about keeping their bodies safe for the past two years. If you think that’s a lot – my co-workers have been doing it for like 25 years. That’s crazy long!

Q – What are some of your favorite recent productions?

Sesame Street on Ice.

Q – Have you performed in the Vagina Monologues before?

YES!!! I was part of the sextet last year and it is SO RAD that I was invited to do it again. Yay me!!!

Q – What made you want to be involved in V-Day this year?

Are you kidding me? Why wouldn’t I want to be involved?! First of all – this show ROCKS!! Also – I would shout from the highest rooftop about what I do and how important it is if I could…but since I can’t, I guess being on stage in front of like a gazillion people is a good way to get the word out.

Q – Who is the most influential woman in your life?

I can’t pick one because all the ladies who work at SASS and A Safe Place are amazing. They change people’s lives. You don’t get much more influential than that!!

Q – What or who inspires you?

Rainbows, unicorns, smiles, the color pink, The Muppets, hugs, and anything glittery.

Q – How long have you been involved in theater?

This will be my first theater production. I have seen the Monologues a few times, and have always dreamed of being involved and on stage! Honestly, I was petrified to be on stage, but all fears should be conquered at some point! I am not getting any younger.

Q – What made you want to be involved in V-Day this year?

I have wanted to get involved with V-Day for a long time, and decided to audition. I had zero expectation of actually being cast! I just wanted to try something new, and be involved in this cause. I am a woman, who needed to do something to feel empowered, and I truly wanted to give back in some way.

Q – Who is the most influential woman in your life?

The most influential woman in my life is my mom. I am so very lucky. My mom has always been wise beyond her years, fun, involved, and very supportive. Also, she was tough, tell it like it is and never promised me lollipops and unicorns!

Q – What or who inspires you?

My mom taught me so much about being a woman, a mother, a daughter, and she taught me how to be strong. I pride myself on being a strong woman, and the obstacles I have overcome are largely due to what she has taught me.

Q – How long have you been involved in theater?

If you include all of the plays I put on with my cabbage patch kids, I have been involved in theater since 2 1/2…but I started performing for audiences (besides my parents) in kindergarten.

Q – What are some of your favorite recent productions?

This past summer I was in two productions at the Players Ring: Death of a Dragon Slayer and Myth of the Father.

Q – Have you performed in the Vagina Monologues before?

Yes! I helped to create the first “Sextet” in 2012.

Q – What made you want to be involved in V-Day this year?

The Vagina Monologues is an excellent way to open the world’s eyes to the reality of harassment, abuse, and generally what it’s like to have an extra hole down there!

Q – Who is the most influential woman in your life?

My mother is the most influential woman in my life. I am so blessed to have her. She is a musical genius, a strong woman, and my best friend.

Q – What or who inspires you

Anyone who can find and spread joy in this world is an inspiration to me.

Q – How long have you been involved in theater?

I have been involved in theatre since high school. In the past few years I got involved in theatre around the seacoast.

Q – What are some of your favorite recent productions?

Mrs. Greer in Annie at the Prescott Park Arts Festival during the summer of 2013. Various rolls in high school, such as Guys and Dolls, West Side Story and The Pajama Game.

Q – Have you performed in the Vagina Monologues before?

Yes, this is my third year performing in the Vagina Monologues. V-Day 2013 I was part of the Sextet, last year I performed my first ever monologue and this year part of the sextet again. This year I get to perform in this production with my good friend Lindy Ward, which makes it extra special!

Q – What made you want to be involved in V-Day this year?

It’s an important cause that I feel strongly about! It’s near and dear to my heart and I feel that getting involved in V-Day is a way to help those effected by sexual and domestic violence. Spreading awareness and educating in our community is where we can begin to stop the violence!

Q – Who is the most influential woman in your life?

My sister Mary, who battled breast cancer this year. She battled the disease with courage, grace and strength. With all her treatments and surgeries, she never lost her sense of humor. She’s my hero!

Q – What or who inspires you?

My parents, sisters and brothers! I am the women I am today with their love and support!
