Q – How long have you been involved in theater?

If you include all of the plays I put on with my cabbage patch kids, I have been involved in theater since 2 1/2…but I started performing for audiences (besides my parents) in kindergarten.

Q – What are some of your favorite recent productions?

This past summer I was in two productions at the Players Ring: Death of a Dragon Slayer and Myth of the Father.

Q – Have you performed in the Vagina Monologues before?

Yes! I helped to create the first “Sextet” in 2012.

Q – What made you want to be involved in V-Day this year?

The Vagina Monologues is an excellent way to open the world’s eyes to the reality of harassment, abuse, and generally what it’s like to have an extra hole down there!

Q – Who is the most influential woman in your life?

My mother is the most influential woman in my life. I am so blessed to have her. She is a musical genius, a strong woman, and my best friend.

Q – What or who inspires you

Anyone who can find and spread joy in this world is an inspiration to me.

Q – How long have you been involved in theater?

I have been involved in theatre since high school. In the past few years I got involved in theatre around the seacoast.

Q – What are some of your favorite recent productions?

Mrs. Greer in Annie at the Prescott Park Arts Festival during the summer of 2013. Various rolls in high school, such as Guys and Dolls, West Side Story and The Pajama Game.

Q – Have you performed in the Vagina Monologues before?

Yes, this is my third year performing in the Vagina Monologues. V-Day 2013 I was part of the Sextet, last year I performed my first ever monologue and this year part of the sextet again. This year I get to perform in this production with my good friend Lindy Ward, which makes it extra special!

Q – What made you want to be involved in V-Day this year?

It’s an important cause that I feel strongly about! It’s near and dear to my heart and I feel that getting involved in V-Day is a way to help those effected by sexual and domestic violence. Spreading awareness and educating in our community is where we can begin to stop the violence!

Q – Who is the most influential woman in your life?

My sister Mary, who battled breast cancer this year. She battled the disease with courage, grace and strength. With all her treatments and surgeries, she never lost her sense of humor. She’s my hero!

Q – What or who inspires you?

My parents, sisters and brothers! I am the women I am today with their love and support!

Q – How long have you been involved in theater?

I’ve been actively involved in theater since 2011. I started off as a stage manager. Then I decided to test the waters in acting. I love both stage managing and acting. To the point where from time to time you will catch me doing both in a production!

Q – What are some of your favorite recent productions?

Ah, this is a tough one. However, if I had to pick a few favorites I would choose DARWiNS WAiTiNG ROOM, Background Check and original play by G. Matthew Gaskell, and the 2014 A Christmas Carol (all at the Player’s Ring).

Q – Have you performed in the Vagina Monologues before?

I have not. I’ve seen it several times, though, this will be my first time performing in it.

Q – What made you want to be involved in V-Day this year?

It is something that I‘ve wanted to be a part of for quite some time, though, due to scheduling conflicts I haven’t been able to. This year, my priority was to be the first person to sign up for auditions, and I was!

Q – Who is the most influential woman in your life?

My mother for sure is the most influential woman in my life. She was one of the wisest and most compassionate people I will ever know. Her words of wisdom, guidance and encouragement, to this day (she is no longer with us), help me strive to be the best person I can be.

Q – What or who inspires you?

Life inspires me. The “not knowing” of what can happen each day, though scary, is exciting.

Q – How long have you been involved in theater?

I recall an early original production (for which I was producer, director, and lead) when I was around the age of 7 or 8. It was a neighborhood performance staged at my best friend’s house for our families. So, it’s been … years!

Q – What are some of your favorite recent productions?

Missing Wynter – book & music/directed by Billy Butler (co-stage manager); The Gift of the Magi: the Musical – adaptation by David Mauriello with music by Rob Johnson (director/producer); Without Walls – by Lawrence Hennessy (director/producer); The Smallest Room in the House – by Paul Goodwin (director) – all at the Players’ Ring and BareFruit: an Original Musical – concept by Frances Page at West End Studio Theatre (co-writer/director/producer).

Q – Have you performed in the Vagina Monologues before?

No.

Q – What made you want to be involved in V-Day this year?

After seeing the 2014 production, it appealed to my passion for ‘awareness’ work. Having not performed on stage over 30 years, I didn’t initially think about performing in the 2015 production but felt compelled to get involved in some way. Just before this fall’s auditions, I decided to challenge myself and audition. Feeling pleased that I accomplished that, I was even more delighted when I was cast in the sextet. For me, this is personal.

Q – Who is the most influential woman in your life?

My mother is most influential on so many levels….as a mother, an activist, a woman ahead of her time.

Q – What or who inspires you?

I am inspired by people who care about and help others.
